Alpha 9

Laboratory

Located in the heart of Vancouver, Fusion Projects played a pivotal role in overseeing the design and construction of the Alpha 9 laboratory. The designated space encompassed more than 13,000 square feet, and starting from a bare structure, Fusion Projects transformed it into a versatile mixed-use office area and a state-of-the-art laboratory facility.

To accomplish this, we assembled a dedicated team of consultants, including experts in structural engineering, mechanical systems, and electrical systems. This team was responsible for delivering a wide range of services, starting from the initial assessment phase and continuing throughout the construction process.

Collaboration was key throughout this intricate project. The Fusion team, consisting of project managers, site superintendents, and project coordinators, worked closely and harmoniously with the team of expert scientists from Alpha 9 Labs.

Together, we ensured that the laboratory met all the stringent requirements necessary for its operation, including handling radioactive materials and adhering to strict security and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. One of the project's significant challenges involved accommodating a vast array of specialized equipment.

To address this, Fusion Projects, in collaboration with engineers, offered innovative and cost-effective solutions for electrical, mechanical (HVAC), and plumbing aspects of the project. Additionally, we made essential upgrades to the base building to meet the City of Vancouver's specific requirements, such as water and gas meter installations.

The Fusion team takes great pride in our contribution to the success of this remarkable project.
