Technical Safety BC
Technical Safety BC wanted an open concept space that embraced the “Right to Light” to provide connection to the staff and visitors alike. Relocating to their new 40,000 sq ft space at Renfrew Centre created an opportunity to re brand their identity in the marketplace. They looked to Fusion to drive this process through integrated Project and Construction Management services.
We worked closely with their internal stake holders to ensure the goals of the project were clearly defined while looking at opportunities to integrate adaptability and technology in the space. Our design partners False Creek Design Group created an edgy open concept design which included a large open staircase complete with bench seating to allow for Town hall meetings, expansive Café, Collaboration spaces throughout and extensive uses of millwork and metal finishes.
One of the key deliverables was to create and environment that provided flexibility for technology. We looked at a prefabricated modular design/construction approach with DIRTT walls approx. 85% of the entire space. This allowed for our teams to focus on the planning of the space early on. By taking a modular approach to construction, we were able to find efficiencies in our schedule and deliver their space with high quality finishes.
