Helping Our Community
Nick Boyd, President of Fusion Projects has a company and team philosophy of giving back to the community that you live in. This year Fusion Projects and their trades, partners, and vendors did just that. Fusion Projects is pleased to announce their group monetary donation towards the build out of Family Services of the North Shore’s (FSNS) new home in North Vancouver. For sixty years, FSNS has provided counselling, support and education to heal and connect the North Shore children, youth and families. The Agency serves three municipalities: the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, the District of West Vancouver, as well as the Village of Lions Bay, and Bowen Island.
“For a non-profit organization to have the support of Fusion Projects was amazing. It afforded us the depth of experience and knowledge we needed to build out this space” said Julia Staub-French – Executive Director.
“It’s important for us to give back, to be of service to others, and to share the gifts that we have as a team and company. I recognized how important it was for the FSNS to preserve the level of service they offer to the community and to help them secure the sustainability they need for their organization’s future programming and operations”, said Nick Boyd. With a team of professionals working with Fusion – Todd Humphries, Senior Project Manager shepherd and managed the entire project to completion.
“It has been a real pleasure working with Fusion Projects as they are aligned with our values by putting the community first”, said Julia Staub-French. The Family Services of the North Shore annually serve close to 6500 individuals and families through a broad range of social services to children, youth, adults, couples, and families from a diverse array of cultural and economic backgrounds. “Our clients range from toddlers to senior citizens. When the clients come into this new professional space they feel valued and the children are delighted with their new special playrooms, where they can settle in and work through their problems. The new space is very welcoming, bright and open, reducing the stigma of mental health. It is an environment that is safe for our clients”, said Julia Staub-French – Executive Director.
On April 17, 2015 Nick Boyd presented a cheque to the Family Services North Shore Executive Director, Julia Staub-French. “We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the design build expertise of a first class company like Fusion Projects help us create a space that meets our needs now and into the future. With Fusion’s financial support for the “Visionaries Capital Campaign” of $53,000 combined with an additional $40,000 from their trades, vendors and partners. This generous donation means more of our valuable financial resources are available to better serve our community”, said Julia Staub-French – Executive Director.
Our exceptional standards of service, core values of respect, integrity, community and growth, strategic plan, professional staff, and close to 350 volunteers ensure a caring, progressive agency. In this new office, “Our open environment allows us the opportunities for new conversations to happen, we work in a collaborative environment”, said Julia Staub-French – Executive Director.
